London-based Volta data centres and LuxConnect in Luxembourg have announced an alliance between the two colocation providers, in a bid to connect the two communication hubs in Europe.
The strategic alliance was disclosed at a recent reception held in the Luxembourg Embassy in London.
The alliance seeks to combine the strengths of the two companies and help firms meet the challenges presented by changing regulations and capacity fluctuations.
Jonathan Arnold, Volta Managing Director said: “We are glad to announce this strategic alliance between the two companies, now wend users can expand and be present in two of the most strategic communication hubs in Europe.”
The alliance is aimed at bolstering the security and continuity needed by companies in the shifting political and commercial landscapes created by a fast growing IT services sector and the potential re-structuring of the EU following Britain’s Brexit vote.
Volta Data Centres has a purpose built facility which sits between Shoreditch and the City of London. The site, which was completely refurbished in 2013, provides a secure colocation platform for small or medium size enterprise, growing companies, or enterprise expanding looking to fulfil a global ambition, allowing businesses to connect to seamlessly the world.
LuxConnect is known to have four multi-tier data centres in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, certified by the Uptime Institute. Various global companies from finance, entertainment and online commerce are hosted at their facilities.

Both companies are now able to straddle two strategic hubs, easily access space when needed and offer prospective clients a simple way to expand across the two key locations.
