Technologent, a provider of technology infrastructure services, has introduced a new colocation service in Montana. The new service will be offered in conjunction with iConnect, an authorized Sun Microsystems certified data center.

The new 47,000sqft colocation facility is expected to give the company the ability to offer customers a competitively priced colocation service, as well as a comprehensive suite of services.

In addition, remote managed operations for long-range IT operations management will be offered at the facility. Technologent has established field engineers and parts caches on site to support the Montana Technology Marketplace. This is expected to allow customers to take advantage of enterprise level support for their computing needs, regardless of their desired platform.

The Montana facility, which opened in 2008, provides carrier-neutral collocation facilities and provides data center space. It is also a showcase for operational efficiencies. These efficiencies, combined with the many comparative advantages available in Montana reportedly enable Technologent to offer superior data center services at competitive prices.

The facility provides network and site security, with protection against fire, earthquakes, flooding, and other natural disasters. It also offers biometric access control options. Customer systems are housed in private cabinets, dedicated cages, or private suites with 24x7x365 services in facilities with redundant power, cooling, and network topologies with no single point of failure and bandwidth expansion capabilities. Service level agreements for power, cooling, and network availability are also offered.
