athenahealth has combined its practice management and billing service with Eclipsys Sunrise Ambulatory Care clinical offering to create an enterprise connectivity system that integrates patients’ clinical records for enterprise wide use. University Hospitals (UH) is implementing Eclipsys as its integrated, single clinical medical record system.
According to athenahealth, University Hospitals Medical Practices (UHMP)/ Hospitals Management Services Organization (UHMSO) will now be able to leverage athenaNet, the company’s centrally-hosted practice management platform and the Eclipsys clinical system at UH, to share patient data with other facilities, while maintaining privacy around individual practices’ and services’ financial information.
