Mentor Graphics, a provider of electronic design automation systems, has reported a net income of $31.54m, or $0.33 per diluted share, for the fourth quarter ended January 31, 2009, compared to net income of $34.89m, or $0.38 per diluted share, for the quarter ended January 31, 2008.

For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009, total revenues were $242.64m, compared to $284.82m for the same quarter of fiscal 2008.

For fiscal 2009, total revenues were $789.1m, compared to $879.73m for fiscal 2008. Net loss for fiscal 2009 was $88.8m, or $0.97 diluted per share, compared to a net income of $28.77m, or $0.32 per diluted share, for fiscal 2008.
