Cadec said that Publix chose the company due to its unique ability to tightly integrate its on-board computers with Publix’s other enterprise systems, and its preference for an on-premise software rather than software hosted by a third party. Cadec added that it offered advantages in terms of data collection and reporting also.
Maria Brous, director of media and community relations at Publix, said: At Publix, we have a deep commitment to providing customer value, and if we can reduce our operating costs through technology innovation, it will ultimately benefit our customers and employees. Cadec was able to provide all of the fleet management features and functionality we need in one package. In addition, the fact that we could run Cadec on-site was a major factor in our decision.
Michael Baney, CEO of Cadec, said: This is a major win for Cadec. Publix is known for pushing the technology envelope, and their feedback and requirements are already helping to shape the future of Cadec’s solutions. We are very pleased to be working with them.
