HM Customs & Excise has awarded part of its European Commission funding to Sunbury on Thames company International Network Services Ltd to offer first time Electronic Data Interchange users a low-cost starter pack to send trade statistics to the UK government organisation: based on the Customlink package, the UKP950 starter pack includes EDI, Electronic Mail, and INS-Tradanet mailbox, low-cost subscriptions and usage charges for the first year; INS-Telecare, which enables upgrades of software and message standards to be delivered electronically using the INS-Tradanet service is also included in the price; ordinarily, the package would cost UKP1,700; the offer is open until the end of the month depending on demand, says INS.
