As part of a worldwide launch, Wokingham, Berkshire-based Memorex Telex UK Ltd announced its 8000 Series Intelligent Systems which comprises 14 models that encompass all architectures and range from notebook personal computers to multiprocessor super servers, prices for the 8000 series go from UKP1,140 to UKP20,000; also out are Lansys, a local and wide area network interopability product for the IBM 3270 environment, and 1472/PC Coax Emulator, an IBM 3472-compatible problem that enables host-connected personal computers to access mainframe features and costs UKP700.
