Goldstar Co has revealed the extent of the accords that accompanied its $15m investment for about 5% of Zenith Electronics Corp, Glenview, Illinois: the South Korean gets the right to use Zenith’s flat tension screen technology in televisions but not at present monitors, it is collaborating in Zenith labs on high definition television development, the two will do joint manufacture at Zenith’s Mexican plant, Goldstar will market Zenith products and equipment outside the US, and the two firms will share delivery trucks and service engineers.
