AMX International has announced that the city of Cape Coral, Florida, has selected Oracle’s JD Edwards to replace its enterprise resource planning, customer information services, and enterprise asset management applications.

AMX International claims to provide enterprise servcies that fit Oracle JD Edwards’s customers. AMX’s utility billing and customer information services module is now completely embedded in the JD Edwards solution. This means that utilities have one source for all financial, work and asset information.

AMX said that its utility billing module for JDE creates records directly in JDE accounts receivable. Assets, such as meters, are managed in JDE fixed assets. Customer service orders are managed in JDE work orders.

Scott Sears, vice president of sales at AMX International, said: It has been a great experience working with the city through the selection process; we gained a much deeper understanding of what the city is striving to accomplish in its lean processing initiatives. Cape Coral is visionary in their mandate to implement a vanilla, completely integrated solution, focusing its energy on providing more services to its constituents with less. We look forward to a successful and long-lasting partnership with the city.
