Pleasanton, California-based ComputerLand Corp has now completed the acquisition of Nynex Business Centers from Nynex Business Information Systems Co for undisclosed amounts of cash and preferred stock in ComputerLand, and has offered positions to 850 former Business Centers employees with another 400 offered by ComputerLand franchisees; of 79 Nynex Business Centers major market locations, 40 will be integrated into local ComputerLand franchises and the remaining 39 will become company-owned stores; most of the centres were originally IBM Product Centers that were bought by Nynex.
