Cisco Systems Inc, Menlo Park and Novell Inc, Provo, Utah have announced a strategic partnership intended to ensure interoperability between the former’s internetwork routers and Novell NetWare products: in the first step, Novell will certify that Cisco routers support IPX router functionality; secondly Cisco will implement the NetWare Link Services Protocol, with support expected some time next year, and finally both companies will work together to make sure that Cisco routers support IPXWAN protocol for interoperabiliity across the wide area network.
