Intel Corp and Microsoft Corp are now shipping the Video for Windows answer to Apple Computer Inc’s QuickTime moviemaking software: the new program costs $200; Apple is ready for the challenge with QuickTime for Windows version of the program, which has up to now been available only for Macintosh; Video for Windows includes Intel’s Indeo video technology which enables playback of videos with computers using enhanced chips such as the 80486 microprocessor; the video capabilities can be enhanced, including full screen display, with the use of other add on products such as the Intel 80750 processor.
