Unisys Corp reports a 10-year contract worth over $73m from the New York State Department of Social Services: the initial five-year period of the contract involves four Unisys 2200-900 high-end mainframe systems, M9740 and M9760 disk subsystems, DCP/50 front end communications processors, 9246 printers, the Mapper applications generator, and professional services; the mainframes will be installed in the Department’s data centres in Albany and New York City and will provide processing capacity to support welfare, medicaid, child protection services and child support enforcement and to look after many administrative support systems.
