Secure Data Network Inc and its research and development arm, SDN Research and Development Inc, claim that they will be the first companies to implement electronic vaulting services over the Integrated Services Digital Network through a $30m agreement with PacTel Meridian Systems: the three-year agreement calls for Pactel to provide custom-designed terminal adaptors to link SDN’s System 1001 and 1201 to the public network; SDN’s research and development team is porting its proprietary software to the ISDN and Secure Data has been assigned all marketing aspects of the project; ISDN service loops are being installed in strategic areas while additional metropolitan and international sites are under review.
