The radically restructured and revitalised Cray Electronics Plc, now primarily a software company, is said to be in the market for a sizable acquisition – UKP200m to UKP300m turnover – with software the preferred area: given its military software bent, a bid for bombed-out SD-Scicon Plc must be a possibility; British Aerospace Plc is still sitting on about a quarter of the shares but at the last call-over was a seller at the right price; the SD-Scicon share price currently values the firm at only about UKP60m.
