Westborough, Massachusetts-based Banyan Systems Inc says it plans to offer Open Systems Interconnection support after collaborating with Retix Corp of Santa Monica, California and it will be provided as a series of new software options for the company’s Vines for Vines for Santa Cruz Unix: also, Banyan and Retix have signed an agreement to create a cooperative methodology for supporting Banyan’s OSI customer base; the four server-based software options are Virtual Terminal, FTAM, local area network transport, and wide area network transport; first customer shipments for Banyan’s OSI/GOSIP software options will be in March 1993; the VT and FTAM will cost $1,600, local and wide area network transports are $700 and $1,100 respectively.
