Unix System Laboratories Inc’s ex-vice-president of strategic planning Jim Daniel, is now at Cambridge, Massachusetts start-up Bridge Builder Technologies Inc doing the same kind of thing as vice-president, strategic relations and business development. The new concern acquired its advanced object-oriented development environment from Contexture and is putting more money into research and development and sales and marketing. The founder of BIOS house Phoenix Technologies Inc Ted Joseph is there as chief executive. Contexture on its own reared an installed base of 35 customers and 1,000 users including blue chip accounts on the Paris Bourse. The company is currently working on a new release. Daniel thinks it can be hot because it’s so easy to use.
