AT&T Co’s Microelectronics Division has acquired over 100 licences to use Burlington, Massachusetts-based Ontos Inc’s object-oriented database management system in its electronic computer-aided design projects: each Ontos database contains a DALX, which is AT&T’s standard representation of a printed circuit board; the database enables the user to edit the DALX, check that it complies with quality assurance standards and view the graphic representation of a circuit board design; no financial details of the bulk licence agreement was given.
