Advanced Micro Devices Inc says that its second quarter figures will be better than expected and that the Am386 should do $100m in sales this year: it is looking for at least 15 cents a share profit for the quarter where analysts had been looking for seven to eight cents; it made a loss of 10 cents a share in the 1990 second quarter.
