Sunnyvale, California-based graphics modules and controller builder Appian Technology Inc has won new financing of $2.6m from 35% shareholder Daewoo Corp, which will also pay $1.6m to Appian in satisfaction of a note receivable: Appian will use the funds to reduce its debt.
