Microsoft Corp is being very cautious about the outlook for its current fiscal year, even though it is almost over, but executive vice-president Mike Maples did tell investors at a Bear, Stearns technology conference that he expects 1992 revenues and profits to exceed the year-ago results, but declined to be more specific; Maples said the company remains committed to rapid introduction of new products, and he expects 35% of 1992 revenues to flow from products unveiled during the year; MS-DOS still accounts for 39% of turnover, applications now make up 51%, with the rest from hardware; Windows NT is on target for beta testing next month and release by the end of this year.
