DataDirect Technologies, a provider of data connectivity and mainframe integration services, has announced that database archiving services provider Clearpace Software is using the DataDirect OpenAccess software development kit and runtime software components to enable standards-based data connectivity to its NParchive product from any data source or application.

Using the custom driver created with the DataDirect OpenAccess software development kit (SDK) and runtime software components, Clearpace customers can connect thousands of existing applications to NParchive to respond to audit, business and regulatory inquires against long-term, archived data, according to DataDirect.

By using the DataDirect OpenAccess SDK and runtime software components, NParchive users are provided with standards-based access to non-standard data. NParchive users can rest knowing their inactive, archived data is available for supporting information discovery requests arising from regulatory investigations, litigation, internal audits or business analysis, added DataDirect.

Tim Waterton, vice president of alliances at Clearpace, said: Working with DataDirect Technologies has enabled us to provide value to our customers, helping them achieve long-term retention and retrieval of information while reducing the cost and complexity of data storage.
