SupplyFrame, an online component information service for the electronics industry, has chosen Talend, a provider of open source data integration software, to streamline its data collection processes.

Talend Integration Suite reportedly enables SupplyFrame to gather large amounts of data from disparate sources quickly and efficiently. Talend Integration Suite is used to automate product updates for SupplyFrame’s online search engine for millions of distinct electronic components provided by thousands of different sources, the two companies said.

It is reported that the implementation of Talend Integration Suite provides the ability to get data in any format, which streamlines the exchange between SupplyFrame and its customers, and ensures time-to-market of the production information. Talend also handles error conditions and guarantees the correct execution of the collection processes, extending SupplyFrame’s reach into the cases it can handle.

Andrew Brown, vice president of content for SupplyFrame, said: It is imperative for SupplyFrame to effectively aggregate and update product information from multiple sources in real time. Talend helps make our data collection processes quick and easy while allowing the flexibility required to meet our customers’ needs.
