Johannesburg-based Allied Technologies Ltd has agreement for joint development of telecommunications in Southern Africa with France’s Alcatel NV from March 1, in a pact that will be sealed with cross-shareholdings – Allied will sell a 50% stake in its telecommunications activities to Alcatel, and take part of the local Alcatel Alsthom.
