Cypress Semiconductor Corp’s notion that Sun Microsystems Inc has set up a hush-hush research unit to investigate its HyperSparc is what you might call a tad overstated: our sister paper, Unigram.X, checked into it and found that Sun has two engineers assigned to the case; Sun continues to say that it will use the chip, but it’s kind of hard for them to say definitively just where till there’s working silicon.
