Tivoli Systems Inc, Austin, Texas, is teaming with Boston-based strategic consultant and systems integrator start-up, Geer Zolot Associates, to hit financial and Wall Street institutions, a Geer Zolot speciality. Geer Zolot was started earlier this year by Massachusetts Institure of Technology Project Athena mavens Dan Geer and Ken Zolot. Expectations are that, in addition to providing consulting services to Tivoli customers, Geer Zolot will develop WizDom-based applications in the area of remote systems management, enhanced security and network event tracking. It plans to integrate them with Tivoli’s WizDom applications and generate full-scale turnkey systems. The results should pair WizDom with some of Project Athena’s technologies, but specifics are still unavailable.
