BCE Inc, Montreal says that it has no intention of selling its 22% stake in SHL Systemhouse Inc, despite a recent filing with the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Ontario Securities Commission: At this point in time, we have no intention to sell – we have no buyer – we are not even searching for a buyer, BCE said, noting that the company is obliged to make such filings with various securities commissions but they in no way indicate the company’s desire to pull out of SHL – the filing states that it is made to put BCE in a position to sell SHL Systemhouse common shares if and when market conditions and their relevant factors permit and BCE determines to initiate a sale; BCE has, however, agreed to sell 1.4m common shares of BCE Mobile Communications Inc at $Can31.625 per share to Gordon Capital Corp in a transaction that returns BCE’s ownership of BCE Mobile to 65.5%, the level before it took 1.4m BCE Mobile shares from National Telesystem Ltd in March as part of its acquisition of Teleglobe Inc securities.
