Cypress Semiconductor has acquired the rights to a pair of BiCMOS static random access memories designed by National Semiconductor but discontinued since the sale of its Puyallup, Wshington facility: the 16-bit and 64-bit ECL devices have been transferred to Cypress’ Aspen semiconductor subsidiary, and the company expects to begin sampling by mid-year with production scheduled for the fourth quarter.
