Quarterdeck Office Systems Inc, Santa Monica, California has come out with a new release QEMM-386 6.0 of its software for freeing low memory on MS-DOS micros by making available much larger portions of high memory – between 640Kb and 1Mb available for device drivers and other utilities, thereby freeing up low memory for use by applications: according to Microbytes Daily, it makes available up to 211Kb of high memory while MS-DOS 5.0 alone yields only 32Kb; up to 210Kb of the newly available memory is contiguous, meaning that large network drivers (such as Banyan Vines) can now be loaded into high memory.
