Philips Electronics NV’s Philips Kommunikations Industrie AG has set up a cordless telephone joint venture with Philips affiliate Grundig AG: the new Philips und Grundig Funk GmbH, in which Philips will hold a 70 pct stake, will develop, produce and sell cordless telephones, and looks for sales of $100m this year from staff of 300.
