Half Moon Bay, California-based Passport Designs Inc has signed with Kaleida Labs Inc, the IBM Corp-Apple Computer Inc multimedia joint venture to support ScriptX, the cross-system technology under development by Kaleida that supports creation and playback of multimedia applications: Passport will incorporate ScriptX technology into Passport Producer, its new multimedia presentation package for the Macintosh, enabling users to play back their Producer presentations on a broad range of multimedia devices; the Windows version of Passport Producer, under development, will also support ScriptX, which consists of a multimedia scripting language, related data formats, operating system technology, and a run-time environment.
