Initiate Systems has launched new Initiate Catalyst software platform, available as a virtual software appliance, for independent software vendors (ISVs) and services providers. The virtual software appliance provides ISVs with an entity resolution and search capability that can be embedded in their applications and services to enhance data interoperability.

The company said that the virtual software leverages the Initiate Master Data Service and is designed to meet the functional, technical and packaging requirements of ISVs that intend to embed or integrate master data management (MDM), customer data integration (CDI), record locator or entity resolution capabilities within their products.

Initiate Systems claims that the Catalyst software enables ISVs to minimise design, development and support costs associated with these technologies. It helps ISVs to redirect research and development costs into features to enhance their offering’s position in the marketplace.

According to Initiate Systems, the virtual software appliance includes: master data engine; configuration console which automates integration and ongoing administration; advanced algorithm which are pre-defined for business cases; object-oriented web services SDK developed for application integration; smart record on-boarding; and virtual appliance package.

Brian Vile, vice president of product strategy at Initiate, said: “Initiate Catalyst is an out-of-the-box MDM product that gives ISVs and solution providers a competitive edge by allowing them to embed our market-leading entity resolution and search technology as part of their own solutions, as well as easily integrate proven and trusted technology for rapid deployment.”
