Advanced Micro Devices Inc reckons that sales of its AM386 chip are booming to the extent that AMD is not feeling the recessionary pinch: company chairman WJ Sanders said sales of the cloned Intel chip will probably exceed $90m in the quarter ending December 29 – last month AMD was forecasting revenues at between a $75m floor and a ceiling of $90m.
