In the restructuring of its prices (CI No 1,654), Compaq Computer Corp has actually reduced the overall dealer discount percentage but says that in all cases where the dealer discount is reduced, the cost to dealers is still lowered as a result of the price reductions; among the reductions is a 14.8% cut in the Systempro price to $23,000.
