The days of photo albums on your coffee table or slide shows of your family snaps are diminishing, as computers and phones can now store more photographs than we will probably ever capture.
Aiptek, the producer and distributor of camcorders, cameras and other visual devices, have created a range of projectors that attach to your iPhone or iPad, allowing you to project anything that appears on the screen onto a wall at up to 60 inches.
The new i55 projector is available for the iPhone 5 only, although it is unclear whether it will work for the new 5S or 5C. There are also projectors available for the iPhone 4 and 4S.
The projector slips onto your iPhone like a regular case and even features a built-in battery to charge your phone whilst you use it.
Your collection of photographs saved on Facebook or Flickr can be brought to life using the i55, and with built-in speakers, even videos can be projected onto any surface, creating a home cinema effect.
As most people only ever look at their photos on their phones or computers, it’s refreshing to find new ways to view and share them. Although this is hardly new, as projecting images and videos was how it all began; this gives the gadget a more nostalgic feel, jumping onto the vintage meets new tech bandwagon that Instagram has dominated for so long.
Being able to share your photographs in a more physical way without the printing hassle and bringing a little slice of the cinema to your home is a great way of making the most of your iPhone.
