Computer Sciences Corp of El Segundo, California has signed a $149m contract with the New York State Department of Social Services to act as fiscal agent for the state’s Medicaid program: the contract was awarded in a competitive procurement, and it continues work the company has performed since 1986; as fiscal agent, Computer Sciences processes more than $10,000m annually in Medicaid claims from physicians, hospitals and other health-care providers.
