BIOMERIEUX GROUP VITEK PICKS IBM RS/6000 UNIX PROCESSOR

The bioMerieux Group Vitek Inc, part of bioMerieux Groupe SA, has picked IBM Corp’s RS/6000 Unix processor as the basis of its Vitek diagnostic system used for bacterial identification and susceptibility tests, as well as infectious disease detection: the value of the OEM agreement was not disclosed.
