Emulex Corp has a new family of data storage products for low-end to mid-range DEC computers that support the DEC Storage Systems Interconnect bus: the DSSI range consists of the DM/3000 and DM/4000 drive module kits which are mounted in MicroVAX 3300, 3400 and VAX 4000 and include a 5.25 disk drive integrated with an MD30 controller; the third product is a DH01 host adaptor which provides a Q-bus-to-DSSI-bus host adaptor for MicroVAX computers since they have no internal DSSI port; the DH01 may be used with an external DSSI drive, either an Emulex DM drive kit or a DEC product; the DM/3000 is $6,800 to $8,900 next month, the DM/4000 arrives in June at $7,095 to $9,200, the DH01, July is $2,300 to $2,500.
