Apple Computer Inc yesterday duly introduced the Macintosh PowerBook 145 mid-range notebook computer, which uses a 25MHz 68030 CPU rather than the 16MHz part in the PowerBook 140 to deliver 35% better performance – at a lower price. The new machine is $2,400 with a 40Mb disk and $2,800 with an 80Mb disk.
