Alcatel Alsthom SA’s Alcatel Cable SA is offering to buy out shareholders in its Italian unit, Alcatel Cavi SpA, whose shares are quoted on the Milan bourse, offering 3,700 lire per ordinary share and 2,730 lire per savings share, a 45% premium on the average price of the two types of share during the account.
