Following hard on the heels of the annoncement in Japan (CI No 2,104), Apple Computer Inc is working on a new line of 68040-based Macintoshes for introduction this summer, MacWeek reports. The paper says the new line, code-named Cyclone, will use a totally new, true 32-bit architecture, the Casper speech-recognition technology and a built-in signal processor, full direct memory access on all peripheral buses, a new high-speed serial port, and integrated digital and analogue video-in and video-out.
