Bell Atlantic Corp has completed the acquisition of the mid-Atlantic regional PABX installation business of Northern Telecom Ltd: its Bell Atlanticom Systems Inc gets 1,800 customers with 500,000 PABX ports, takes on 560 Northern Telecom employees and distribution of the PABXs – on undisclosed terms; Northern Telecom has done a similar deal with Nynex Corp for its operations in New York and New England.
