NCR Corp is very proud of its new NCR 5682 Interactive Self Service Terminal, designed to provide retailers with a better way to sell their products and services to consumers – touch video screen to browse, and a few seconds later the customer can decide what to buy and where to have the merchandise delivered, and pay by credit or debit card, says the Daytoner: the thing can also be used as a marketing aid, sales generator, an information terminal for a variety of goods and the successful completion of the transaction; the NCR 5682 includes video graphics array and videodisk technology and digitised sound as options, it costs $17,000 to $22,000 and arrives this year.
