Neverfail has unveiled a new product, which it claims to protect applications across any combination of physical, virtual and cloud-based servers.

The company claims that Neverfail 6.0 keeps users working even when multiple software applications go down. In addition, it adds new modules that integrate tertiary deployment and support performance across wide area networks (WANs).

A component called Neverfail Tertiary deploys automated, three-tier failover support into a single business continuity platform. It enables a trio of servers to be configured to ensure that localised failures, such as application issues, as well as site-wide issues, such as floods, hurricanes or power outages, will not bring the business down.

Neverfail Teritary will automatically manage the operation across the three servers, ensuring all failure scenarios are guarded against and continuous user access is maintained. In addition, it will also manage synchronisation between the sites, enabling switchback when the primary systems are restored.

The WANSmart component of Neverfail uses data de-duplication techniques that eliminate the need to implement hardware-based WAN acceleration devices. It reduces the amount of data that is physically replicated across the network. As much as 30 times reduction in bandwidth can be achieved, avoiding costly network upgrades and leaving more capacity for other users, the company claims.

Neverfail 6.0 also comes with a component called , Unified Availability Management Console that provides an intuitive interface that enables real time control of local and remote application availability deployments. It also allows administrators to manage WANSmart and Tertiary options together with pre-configured policies and rules.

Andrew Barnes, senior vice president of corporate development at Neverfail, said: Today’s businesses are increasingly using a combination of physical, virtual and cloud-based systems and require a HA/DR solution that protects against all IT failures, no matter where they occur. Neverfail 6.0, with its new modules for tertiary support and WAN performance, offer these companies the most flexible and cost-effective business continuity solution available.
