CA Computer Associates Ltd is to take over UK support of the Software International financial packages that made up over 60% of bankrupt PPL (Holdings) Plc’s business: the US parent, Computer Associates International, bought Software International from GE late last year, and support will initially be by telephone from Andover, Massachusetts while a UK team is recruited; rights to the packages automatically reverted to Software International when PPL collapsed into receivership last week (CI No 610, 611).
