Trend Communications, part of the High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire based Trend Group Ltd, has launched E-Note, a portable fully integrated remote data communications and messaging terminal which combines in one small unit – 8 by 9 by 2 – keyboard, display, printer and modem: by plugging E-Note into a standard telephone socket, field staff can immediately log into their organisation’s computers and data communications devices and the unit can also act as a remote terminal to access a modern telex terminal’s mailbox; E-Note can be customised with a Smart Card and can be used as a diagnostic analysis unit – and it also provides the facilities required to access proprietary electronic mail services – a snip at UKP600 when it comes out in April.
