SpringSource, a division of VMware, has introduced tc Server Spring Edition, a platform based on the Apache Tomcat server that provides developers and operators with insights into the performance and health of their Spring applications.
The company claims that the new Spring Edition is suitable for virtualised datacentre as well as private and public cloud environments and bridges the divide between development teams and IT operations by equipping them with tools to manage the health, performance and quality of their Spring applications.
The new edition also helps users to ensure optimal resource utilisation across virtual and cloud environments and enables customers reduce the time it takes to deliver new applications, the company claims.
SpringSource said that the new edition helps customers currently running Spring applications on Java EE servers to migrate to tc Server Spring Edition and the lean architecture also allows customers running on Tomcat servers seeking enterprise features and customer support to migrate to tc Server Spring Edition.
In addition, the features of tc Server Spring Edition includes, enhanced build and deploy process through integration with Maven; performance and SLA management of Spring applications; alert definition, workflows and flexible control actions; and group availability and event dashboards.
