Cap Gemini Sogeti SA president Serge Kampf told the annual meeting on Friday that the computer services giant with a big finger in the Semacap Plc pie is looking for net profits for 1988 at well over the $50m mark, on the basis of a turnover for the first four months of the year of $236m – excluding a $65m contribution from Sesa SA – and profitablity up a record 6.7% over 1977: 31% of Cap Gemini’s four month turnover figure comes from France, with the rest of Europe, the US, and Sesa contributing 36%, 19% and 14% respectively; Kampf did not rule out the possibility of a full scale collaboration with the Semacap, but any such link-up could come in six months or 60 years.
