Social middleware company Socialware has launched a new web-based offering Socialware Compass, which gives companies the control, visibility and insight needed to open up access to public social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Built on its Socialware’s Social Middleware platform, Compass allows enterprises to manage social network usage and automate company-wide social network policies in order to gain real business benefit from the sites where employees, customers and partners are interacting, the company said.
According to Socialware, the new offering allows enterprises to archive posts and other social activity, control which features (chat, messages, discussions) employees are allowed access on social sites, and scan messages to ensure policy compliance. Compass also enables analysis of company-wide social networking usage and discovery to locate information across the social archive.
In addition, the new offering allows companies to turn on public social networks on their terms and enforce their policies. It is built on a scalable infrastructure with data security and redundancy and is delivered as a web-based service through a SaaS-based model, Socialware claims.
Kip McClanahan, CEO of Socialware, said: Socialware allows businesses to engage new and existing customers, partners and employees where they live in the digital world. And our innovative approach to enabling the social enterprise is already delivering success for more than 30 forward-thinking companies, including innovative financial brands like W.H. Reaves, Ziegler and TradeKing.
