Artificial Intelligence Corp, Waltham, Massachusetts, has announced Intellect PC Link, designed to use conversational English import data directly to Personal Computers from IBM mainframe databases such as DB2. Intellect PC Link is designed for use with the firm’s Intellect natural language interface for IBM and DEC databases; it pulls together the users’ environments on their micros and enabling them to access all their application programs and information through a single menu screen. It runs under IBM’s VM/CMS or MVS/TSO, and requires an IBM or compatible mainframe from a 4341 up, and an IBM XT or AT. Communications options supported include IRMA, Forte and Micro Plus and the product is available for immediate delivery at $25,000 including the mainframe portion, with the right to make unlimited copies of the software for the Personal Computer.
